The Cookout by Makati Shangri-La

Visiting the Circles Event Café in Makati Shangri-la is always a special treat. With the different stations that are fresh, fun, delicious, and international, our whole family always goes home satisfied. Recently, we were invited to experience The Cookout, which takes what we know and love about this Makati Shang staple and levels it up for an even more well rounded and family fun experience.

Here are the five things that we loved most about the new additions to this all you can eat buffet lunch and dinner:

LIVE MUSIC

We were even treated to Kat Maderazo serenading us on this particular day!

Who doesn’t like being serenaded while enjoying their meal? With the addition of this lovely duet, we enjoyed a table right near the music entertainment and I found myself softly humming our Bossa Nova favorites while enjoying my salad and sushi selections from the mix.

MIX YOUR OWN POTION

For an additional charge, you can mix and match your own refreshing drinks with the help of a bartender who can shake it up. I chose to enjoy a cranberry cocktail, after I had some appetizers to start.

FRESHLY GRILLED SEAFOOD

Who doesn’t love the chargrilled taste of piping hot seafood fresh from the grill? Of course, we can always count on sustainable meats and seafood that are sourced locally as well. After all, we are dining in Makati Shangri-la.

FAMILY ROOM FAVORITES

We don’t have a dedicated yaya to care for Gelli as our kiddos are old enough to pitch in and look after their sister when I need help.

This is beneficial for everyone, and in fact, it has brought us together closer as a family. We loved the fact that each of us could take turns looking after Gelli in the play room which was only a stone’s throw from our table and if we really wanted to, we could actually leave her there by herself because she is 8 years old.

Since Gelli still has some social skills to work on, we always try to be near by to avert any issues that might arise because she forgets to ask politely to borrow or play or be included in a game.

TRIED AND TRUE

Of course, we always come back for our favorites when we visit Circles. They are all still there. The chocolate dessert fountain, the carving station with the addition of Lamb and Pork Belly, and even the Dim sum and Indian cuisine, are all still present for those of us who are creatures of habit.

Nothing is left out, and the addition of the other items just makes everything else that much more enjoyable.

Thankful for this guy who never tires of shooting my photos for me.

From now into November, you can visit Circles and enjoy The Cookout and all the leveled up stations to enjoy at a price of Php2,100 net per person. Plus on the weekend of October 26-27, you can enjoy a SPOOKY SCARY Cookout for even more fun for the whole family.
