I researched the benefits of apple cider vinegar after trying this new drink in a restaurant in Little Baguio.
The other day, Nino and I went to visit his Uncle in the hospital. We were so thankful that his procedure was successful and he was ok, so we wanted to see him right away.
After our visit we decided to grab a quick lunch in the area and we stumbled upon this vegetarian restaurant, Veggiezen.
Nino ordered a bunch of different dishes and we were actually really excited to be eating in such a different place than we would usually choose to eat in.
Hellooooo. Nino? Eating vegetarian?
I was happy he was open to it.
Everything was delicious.
During our meal, I realized I need to buy nutritional yeast to add to some of the dishes I prepare at home.
But the most intriguing aspect of our meal was this Apple Cider Vinegar drink.
I was curious and decided to order the P50 drink. When I asked what was in it, the server shared that it was just ACV, water, and honey.
So what did we decide to do when we got home?
Of course we wanted to try recreating this seemingly easy drink to prepare.
Nino made it for us to enjoy while we were hanging out, watching NETFLIX.
Yes. While watching NETFLIX on a Friday night, our drink of choice was ACV.
Here are some benefits to incorporating ACV into your diet
- ACV lowers glucose levels.
- ACV is great for weight-loss.
- ACV makes you feel fuller and eat less.
- ACV promotes the growth of healthy bacteria in the gut.
- ACV reduces bloating and gas when taken before meals.
- ACV prevents constipation.
- ACV actually promotes alkalinity in spite of it’s acidic taste.
- ACV lowers cholesterol.
- ACV drains your sinuses.
- ACV boosts your energy.
- ACV can relieve night time leg cramps. (It’s high in potassium.)
We mix our ACV (one to two tablespoons) with a full glass of water. Adding honey or agave just makes it easier to drink…I imagine that I’m drinking something between an iced tea and a lemonade…ok..bad comparison, but really, I enjoyed the drink in Veggiezen so much, that I really wanted Nino to try and create it when we got home.
Imagine, all these benefits are just if you DRINK ACV!
Did you know that there are a bunch of other ways you can use ACV for BOTH health and beauty remedies?
I’m thinking I should research this superfood quite a bit more, because I know it has a ton of healing, detoxing and health promoting properties, as well.
Do you use ACV? What do you use it for and how do you take it?

Yes, I do use two table spoons in a glass of water a half hour before meals. It does help cut your appetite and contributes to weight loss! Great Post! Folks should try it!
