Awhile back, I attended the launch of a new brand for children’s shoes.
Part of what I share here on the blog, is always supplemented by the events that I get to attend.
Through the event invitations, I get to learn about new momma and baby brands that are not only cute, inspiring, and fashionable, but brands that are good for our kids as well.
I have written about kids fashion quite a bit, well because my lil Gellibean is a little fashionista. She loves posing for her #ootd photos and seeing the pics that I snap. She is in the process of learning how to exert her will when she chooses what shoes to wear or what clothes to match up. (I, however, am in the process of letting go, so she can use this as a form of self expression.)
At this recent launch, I was approached by a nice lady from the broad sheets who asked me a couple of questions that got me thinking.
She asked me if I am still the one who shops for all my children.
Hmmm. This caused me to pause and realize that my big kids who have now moved on from me buying their clothes!
Oh, how I wish I could still choose their outfits and dress the boys in matchy matchy shirts and sneakers! Because they are older, my big kids have now figured out their own styles and forms of expression.
I didn’t even realize we had reached this milestone in our lives!
And now that Gelli is asking to choose her own clothes and shoes, it seems I may not have anyone to dress too much longer.
This lovely lady also asked me why I buy the products I buy for my kids?
In other words, what are the qualities that keep me coming back to brands I know and love?
This was easy for me to answer and without even thinking I rattled off a few different qualities that children’s clothing and shoe brands must have for me to keep buying their products.
-comfort
-durability
-fashionable
-easy to clean/maintain
-easy to find
-good for the environment
That’s a simple enough list when it comes to purchasing anything for the kids, right?
During the launch, Bibi not only provided everyone with the opportunity to take home a pair of shoes for their kids, they also provided some fun experiences of nail painting, (with all natural Snails nail polish for kids) face painting, make your own pizza and crafts that the kids could take home as well.
But it was through the launch that I learned more about Bibi Shoes, and realized what all the fuss was about.
I realized that there are some brands that really do take the time to provide the best that they can for their customers.

Good info! I will take my grandchildren to buy Bibi shoes!
Aww. She really does love them!
too bad they don’t make them for adults š I like it that they’re certified by the Brazilian Society of Pediatrics and Orthopedics
Agree!!! And to be so kind on Gelli’s feet and still look fashionable?!? Perfection!
