Casa Bella

Just last week, Nino and I attended the launch and grand opening of Casa Bella’s flagship store on Jupiter Avenue, in Makati. It marks their 10 year anniversary celebration and creates the home where Casa Bella showcases their luxurious European furniture brands here in the Philippines. Casa Bella collaborates with designers and home owners to build environments for families who live well, through Cassina, Kettal, Moroso, Cattelan Italia, Henge, Ditre Italia, and Novamobili.

Joseph and Stenie welcome the media to their flagship store.

Fig & Vine Moments

Drenched in the beautiful floral pieces of Fig & Vine, (a collaboration of Stenie with her momma, Elena) the showroom was teeming with furniture lovers, media personalities, and interior designers who all know and appreciate the value of European design and function.  Not to be out done by the beautiful people, and the beautiful furniture, the floral centerpieces and even ceiling installations only added elegance and class to the occasion, and the ambience of the evening.

Well Trained Staff

I was equally impressed with the knowledge of the staff members who brought us on a guided tour, highlighting the strengths of each of the individual brands that Casa Bella exclusively distributes.

Nino and I took note of pieces that would make a great addition to our new found condo living.

I guess that’s the part I loved most about learning of these new brands (new to me) like this during events. When Nino and I were being toured through the different parts of both the upper and lower levels of the showroom, I was listening to the conversation between him and our guide, Paolo.

Paolo would ask if Nino knew about a certain designer, and Nino would answer with some of his favorites, and what he studied about each of the designers that they were discussing.

As I hung back in their conversation, I was able to appreciate Nino’s love of design, his background in art, and his eye for beauty. There was even a moment where I smiled on the inside, because I realized that even after 23 years I still get to learn new things about my husband.

I know that we were really there for the furniture, but I couldn’t help but snap some  photos of the beautiful Fig & Vine floral arrangements.

My Top Picks

Here are some of my favorites vignettes from the evening:

Novamobili has clean designs that allow for functional living. I really liked this book shelf that allows the owner to keep things neat on display and the sometimes kalat that comes along with kids, hidden at the same time.

Novamobili also has beautiful designs for the bedroom as well. I asked Paolo if everything that we saw in the showroom was for sale and ready to be taken home, or if we had to wait for it to be ordered and delivered from Italy. He said it really depended on the pieces that we choose. You can also have items custom made in size and fabric choices. This process would take about 3-5 months to manufacture and ship depending on the company you choose to invest in, that is found in the 2 story showroom.

I’m having visions of a beautiful walk in closet with this space…

(minus the sales people in the reflection….hehehe)

Wouldn’t this make for a quiet reading nook? How pretty!

I really enjoyed imagining some of the different pieces in my own place…

Ditre Italia is one of the more affordable brands featured on the second floor of the showroom.

With Novamobili you can also create your own custom entertainment center. I love how this room feels modern yet comfy. I could totally see myself hanging out with my four kiddos in this space.

Saving the best for last…KETTAL

Kettal would be my first choice for outfitting another lanai or outdoor living space in the future. I loved the industrial feel that is complimented by ceramic powder coated colors. I imagine myself enjoying hours of outdoor lounging in a space like this.

If you would like to visit Casa Bella and learn more about the exclusive European brands that they offer discerning consumers who appreciate style, design, form and function visit them at 8 Jupiter Street in Makati.

Thinking about the day I got off the plane in LaGu Thinking about the day I got off the plane in LaGuardia, was picked up by one of my dearest friends and spent the entire day at the beach just catching up on LIFE.

It was a breezy day. Overcast. A little chilly to be in a suit, but it was perfect to catch up with my girl Candy. Sometimes, if you have chosen your friends well, you can pick up where you left off, as if no time has passed at all.

Just like I did, sitting in that beach chair, feeling the mist of the Atlantic Ocean, and watching the seagulls pick and the seaweed.

Thank you Candy! For the friendship, for dropping everything to come and pick me up. Drive me around and have dinner with me and Fayth.

Wishing I was sitting on this beach with you right now!!!

Missing my @migaventajado The short time I had w Missing my @migaventajado

The short time I had with this guy in Florida was definitely something I will look back on. Wish we had more time to explore and do some fun things on our own.

Gah. How is this kid 20 years old already?
I remember when he was little and he loved peanut butter, chicken nuggets, Kylie Minogue, and sitting on my lap. He was squishy, in tune with my feelings, and I was always worried that he might have an asthma attack in his sleep so I would nebulize him every few hours. He always looked at new experiences with gratitude and wonder, much how he did while we were in FL together.😍

Praying he continues to strengthen his faith as he grows. 🙏🏻👨🏻🙌🏻

Miss you Miggy!
I’ll be sharing a little bit about my faith toda I’ll be sharing a little bit about my faith today with some university students.

I have shared my testimony with other mommas, women in our community, and parents through this platform and others. It’s always come naturally and has often ended in tears of gratitude and joy for His faithfulness and unending LOVE.

Of course, sharing parts of myself with others who may find it helpful is a privilege. But for some reason, I am always just a little bit anxious and apprehensive right before I am about to present parts of my story.

Perhaps today, I’m anxious because the format for how I will share is a bit different, I won’t have the comforts I have gotten used to since working from home. Instead I’ll print some cue cards for myself so I can stay on task and within my given time period.

I love the opportunity this endeavor has given me, to reflect on His presence in my life. He’s been there all along, even if I didn’t know it. I love the understanding that I can have these intimate conversations with my Creator knowing that He has plans for me. He loves me. He knows all the hairs on my head. And that He knows what I need to fulfill my purpose.

This doesn’t mean I won’t have challenges, or times when I feel broken in my life and faith. In fact, there have been many times where my faith has faltered. All of it just means that He is fortifying me through each and every lesson. He is allowing me to create a greater understanding of who I am, where I am supposed to be, and how He will get me there.

Do you share parts of your faith here?
What does that look like?
