I love the quick little lunches I have out with the ladies every now and then.
It’s like a moment to recharge. A moment to exhale. A time to chit chat. I love it even more when we use the excuse to have lunch to explore new restaurants (or new to Manila) and indulge in yummy food.
Recently, some friends of mine and I used the excuse to dine at the newest offering in the Rockwell area, Dean & Deluca. When I entered D & D I went right up to the counter and began texting my friends who I knew were seated upstairs. I wanted to see what they ordered to see if I could order something that would compliment their dishes so we could share.
While I was there a nice lady came over and asked me if I was ordering for take out. I told her I was sitting with friends upstairs, and that I was just ordering before I go up. What I was surprised to learn was that we can order from the table with a menu.
Whenever I eat with the girls, it’s so funny because we are so considerate of one another. Much of what we order compliments one another, just in case someone wants to share.
It’s a good thing that nice lady came up to me to chat! Otherwise, I would have ordered my food and stood at the counter waiting only to be handed a take out box!
Anyway, when I went upstairs to the girls, I was able to order my salad since I was going to behave on that particular day and NOT eat wheat or eggs or cheese…
I ordered a salad because I was trying to behave.
The salad was light, refreshing, had just the right balance of lettuce and extras. It wasn’t filling at at and I felt good after I finished it.
I wished pizza loved me as much as I love it.
And since I was dining with other bloggers, we were all very considerate of each other…once again in inviting one another to take photos of the food we all ordered. You can see our tastes are all so different!
The thing I really love about D & D?
