Giveaways Review

Easy Lunch Boxes GIVEAWAY

Many of you who come to the blog or my Instagram account often, know that I enjoy packing healthy, nutritious, and fun lunches for my kiddos. Lately, I have been getting quite a few inquiries on my IG account as to what kind of lunch box containers I prefer to use. While I have lots of different containers that I have tried, used, and continue to go back to, my favorite lunch container of choice is Easy Lunch Boxes.

IMG_3036 copy

Easy Lunch Boxes are the NUMBER 1 SELLING brand of lunch boxes on Amazon. They are sturdy, safe, durable, and convenient. I love how there are three separate compartments which offers the space and convenience to pack sandwiches, fruit, veggie sticks, and even a baked dessert which comes from my own kitchen. The kids like finger food sometimes, and if I choose not to pack a sandwich, it’s very easy to use silicon cups to divide the bigger compartment into smaller ones so that the kids have lots of choices.

I have always loved the initiative that MOMS have when putting things together for their kids. It comes as no surprise to me that KELLY LESTER, chief lunch packer and CEO of Easy Lunch Boxes came up with the idea to pack her children’s lunches in safe easy (talaga) containers. MOMS are natural problem solvers…it’s a job requirement, so when Kelly created these containers she made sure that they are lead free, pvc free, BPA free, vinyl free, AND meet strict FDA requirements for food storage.

IMG_0124 copy

These containers are microwave, freezer, and dishwasher safe. That makes keeping your lunches cold is easier and warming them up is easy too. (Do you see a recurring word here?)

KEY WORD FOR MOMMAS:  EASY. YES. EASY.

I have always said here on the blog that I love anything that makes my life easy. This is one of those things. It ranks right up there with my small kitchen appliances which help me pack lunches for my kids as well.

Take note:  You do NOT want to pack soupy lunches in our favorite containers. Save the soupy lunches for thermoses which will keep them warm as well. This has never been a problem for our household, because while the kids DO like soup in their lunch, they also like them nice and hot which means our insulated containers work best for these types of lunch items.

So, as an early Christmas gift to those lunch packing Mommas, Kelly Lester of www.easylunchboxes.com has agreed to sponsor a giveaway for all of you to enter for a chance to WIN one set of four lunchbox containers AND an insulated lunch bag to carry them in.

Just follow the mechanics on the Rafflecopter Widget to enter for your chance to win. A Random winner will be chosen at the end of two weeks. Winner must email me (mish@mommanmanila.com) your full name, your email address, and your mailing address. After I receive this information I will forward to Easy Lunch Boxes and you will receive a coupon code to order your lunch boxes online. Winner may choose their lunch bag color.

Wow! This is indeed an early christmas gift…glad I came across your blog entry this early, hehe. I usually get inspirations from your packed lunches for my little bug. I just wish I can also make her eat most of what I pack for her. That’s still a hit and miss process with her. Am not giving up, hehe.

    Hi Michelle,

My kids bring snacks (sandwiches, fruits) and lunch (rice, pasta) in school. These would be really perfect 🙂

Btw, I really love looking at your lunchboxes posts 🙂 Hope to prepare them like you do 🙂

    • michelle says

      November 24, 2014 at 10:42 am

      Thanks Marites.
These containers are perfect for sandwiches. If you choose to include rice or pasta, I just use the silicon cups to keep things separate. They are great because they are easy to use and easy to clean and stack for safe keeping in the cabinets too. Thanks too for the kind words about my lunch box posts 🙂 I always try to vary what the kids eat. Sometimes, I get a little lazy but I get inspired when I hear of Mommas just like me who are looking for inspiration too!

I prepare my kids lunches using different containers as I separate rice from the viand. If they will bring snacks like fruits, cookies or sandwiches, these go to another container or in Ziploc bags. These easy lunchboxes will not only be functional but efficient as well since I can put together almost everything in one container – similar to what you’re doing Michelle! =) Thanks for sponsoring this giveaway and for sharing us your creativity 😉

    • michelle says

    Hi Michelle,

I am glad I did a frequent visit in your blog or your IG and found out about this giveaway. I learned a lot from your cooking/baking. You’re like my Mommy who loves to prepare me baon when I was young. And as I am starting preparing food for my tot, you gave me a lot of new ideas. Anyway, my tot is not going to school pa but, as we always travel for her monthly checkup I usually packed fruits and cookies for her. But I usually I put it on a ziplock as I don’t want to bring a lot of things. This would be a great help when I’ll enroll her to preschool maybe next year. Thanks for this giveaway and continue to post baon ideas and recipes on your IG. Btw, Gellibean is so cuuutteee. 🙂

    • michelle says

      November 24, 2014 at 1:20 pm

Hi Jea! Thanks for stopping by all the time! I’m so glad that you enjoy checking out my IG posts and the posts I have on cooking and baking. I’m trying to post more recipes as I enjoy cooking and baking so much. One thing I love about Easy Lunch Boxes is that you can keep reusing them for a long time. We are on a second year of our first pack of boxes! That’s savings if you think about all the resealable bags you would use in that time!
Thanks also for the kind words about Gellibean 🙂 I think she’s a cutie pie too 😉

    • michelle says

      November 24, 2014 at 1:21 pm

Yes, Agnes. Buying disposable items for packing lunch for the kiddos is not only expensive, but it’s bad for the environment. Good Luck!

      Hi Gayle!
This lunchbox container is good for dry viands, rice, and fruit or dessert. Even if you win this giveaway, I still suggest you keep your child’s soup in a container that is spill proof and insulated. Good Luck!

  20. Marryl says

    November 24, 2014 at 9:32 pm

Hi Michelle! Your IG post brought me here, and I’m glad I did 🙂 I try to prepare bento snacks and/or lunch for my little girl when time permits, or when my mornings aren’t that crazy. Mine are pretty straight-forward. Nothing fancy. But many times, I’ve had problems about the food moving around the lunch box while it’s being transported and stuff can spill or get mixed together which isn’t particularly appetizing when you open the box to eat. “Eeewy!” she told me one time. Do you get that sometimes? I’ve been looking for the perfect lunch box that will hopefully keep the food from spilling.

    • michelle says

      November 25, 2014 at 10:31 am

Hi Marryl! So glad you stopped by :-)One of the things I do to help keep the food separate is use silicon cups. This way the food doesn’t mix up so much. I also tell the kids if there is a chance that they might mix. Sometimes, just a little reminder for them to be careful with the lunchbox helps.

  21. Lisa H says

I just make sure that the food does not spoil easily but most of the time, i ask what they want their baon to be. 🙂 I believe that if it is their choice then most likely they would eat it.

    • michelle says

      November 27, 2014 at 7:55 am

Yes. Agree. Totally. Getting the kids involved in the process is important so that they feel empowered to eat healthy. I usually ask the question like this: Would you like adobo, rice, and vegetables today? OR a sandwich and some fruit? The age old trick of providing two choices You are happy with gives them the ability to make a choice that you provide.

    • michelle says

      November 27, 2014 at 7:52 am

      Hi Leah.
This is another reason why I began packing lunch as well. I wanted to be sure that the kids weren’t eating junk food all the time. Even if the canteen has healthy choices that my kids can avail of…if I’m not there, I am not sure WHAT they are purchasing and eating.

It’s December 1st! Is there anything more delic It’s December 1st!

Is there anything more delicious than the smell of Christmas and the new found freedom as we anticipate celebrating the holidays with our families again?

@festivalmall has hosted a series of musical shows since November 5th that include Ace Banzuelo and Silent Sanctuary. Check out Michael Pangilinan on December 10th, too!

With Santa visiting, Christmas parties, arts and crafts and lots of promos, you can even enter for a chance to win a Toyota Fortuner!

Best of all-I love it when the places we know give purpose to their celebrations. Thank you #FestivalMall for partnering with @dsapi1 this holiday season.

Thank you for sharing all the different ways we can celebrate the holidays with you!

I have always been intimidated by Cornish Hens. Th I have always been intimidated by Cornish Hens. Through this learning exercise with @usapeecphl, I have learned a bit more about these little birds that have bigger breast parts, and thank you Chef @ivoryyat for showing me how easy it is to prepare Greek Lemon Roasted Cornish Hens with Roasted Potatoes.

Clean and fresh flavors are perfect for these smaller birds that are rich in protein with zero carbs. Try the recipe in the comments section. I’m sure you’d enjoy it as much as I did!

@mommymundo always has a way of bringing together @mommymundo always has a way of bringing together just what we need, no matter the time of year. Loving these photos of my first boy that were snapped @expomom.

Anyone else thinking about #HolidayPhotos? I am not one of those moms that has it all together before Christmas. It’s usually a mad dash for us at the end of the year, but if it’s anything that the past few years has taught me, it’s that the little things are what makes the Christmas special.

Many of us haven’t been together with the extended family or even our immediate family in so long. That means it’s the perfect time to document.

@nextbymetrophoto will be hosting one last Christmas Marathon family photo shoot before the end of year. Check them out or shoot them a message. They have some cute set-ups.
****GIVEAWAY ALERT*** 10 things I LOVE about @sed ****GIVEAWAY ALERT***

10 things I LOVE about @sedahotels listed here and on FB!

1. Each property has a Signature Dish. If you can’t make it to Bacolod, you can still enjoy Chicken Inasal in any of their properties.

2. Clean Design. So easy to work and play in a space that is light, modern, and clean in design.

3. Beautiful views. Every chance I got, I would sit outside at @straightupatseda.

4. Spacious Rooms and Residence Stays. Staying in the Three Bedroom Premier was perfect for our family.

5. Attentive Service. Everyone was pleasant and accommodating.

6. Centrally Located. If you are thinking of fun things to do in Makati and want a home base, Seda Residences Makati is near a few of the museums, parks, and malls.

7. Work with ease. Internet service is uninterrupted. Meeting rooms are available and easy to book.

8. Relax and Play. From mid-day tubbies with Gelli to, taking advantage of the pool, or the children’s room, the little girl had more than enough things to keep her busy!

9. #FamilyTime. Spending an extended amount of time outside our own space led to laughter, fun conversations, and opportunities to try new things. We were comfortable and rested in the space we were in, which meant more opportunities for us to connect.

10. Homegrown with a Purpose. A Filipino brand that understands the importance of both work and travel, each property is important to the city & province location. Environmentally aware by adopting Mayumi, a Philippine Bald Eagle. 🦅

Is there anything better than a stuffed turkey at Is there anything better than a stuffed turkey at this time of year? Whole turkeys require serious commitment to cook. #IYKYK But because U.S. Poultry is now available here in the Philippines, that also means preparing turkey is a tad bit easier.

Frozen U.S. turkey products are available and ready to cook for people who want to dabble with flavors for this bigger bird but aren't sure how.

Thank you to Chef @ivoryyat for putting together a medley of my favorite fall flavors. This combination of apples, sweet potatoes, and maple syrup perfectly compliment the roasted turkey leg and remind me of flavors and scenes from back in New York.

@usapeecphl l has the highest standards that follow USDA requirements which are certified safe before shipping to the Philippines. Get them in stores near you.
