Many of you who come to the blog or my Instagram account often, know that I enjoy packing healthy, nutritious, and fun lunches for my kiddos. Lately, I have been getting quite a few inquiries on my IG account as to what kind of lunch box containers I prefer to use. While I have lots of different containers that I have tried, used, and continue to go back to, my favorite lunch container of choice is Easy Lunch Boxes.
Easy Lunch Boxes are the NUMBER 1 SELLING brand of lunch boxes on Amazon. They are sturdy, safe, durable, and convenient. I love how there are three separate compartments which offers the space and convenience to pack sandwiches, fruit, veggie sticks, and even a baked dessert which comes from my own kitchen. The kids like finger food sometimes, and if I choose not to pack a sandwich, it’s very easy to use silicon cups to divide the bigger compartment into smaller ones so that the kids have lots of choices.
I have always loved the initiative that MOMS have when putting things together for their kids. It comes as no surprise to me that KELLY LESTER, chief lunch packer and CEO of Easy Lunch Boxes came up with the idea to pack her children’s lunches in safe easy (talaga) containers. MOMS are natural problem solvers…it’s a job requirement, so when Kelly created these containers she made sure that they are lead free, pvc free, BPA free, vinyl free, AND meet strict FDA requirements for food storage.
These containers are microwave, freezer, and dishwasher safe. That makes keeping your lunches cold is easier and warming them up is easy too. (Do you see a recurring word here?)
KEY WORD FOR MOMMAS: EASY. YES. EASY.
I have always said here on the blog that I love anything that makes my life easy. This is one of those things. It ranks right up there with my small kitchen appliances which help me pack lunches for my kids as well.
Take note: You do NOT want to pack soupy lunches in our favorite containers. Save the soupy lunches for thermoses which will keep them warm as well. This has never been a problem for our household, because while the kids DO like soup in their lunch, they also like them nice and hot which means our insulated containers work best for these types of lunch items.
So, as an early Christmas gift to those lunch packing Mommas, Kelly Lester of www.easylunchboxes.com has agreed to sponsor a giveaway for all of you to enter for a chance to WIN one set of four lunchbox containers AND an insulated lunch bag to carry them in.
Just follow the mechanics on the Rafflecopter Widget to enter for your chance to win. A Random winner will be chosen at the end of two weeks. Winner must email me (mish@mommanmanila.com) your full name, your email address, and your mailing address. After I receive this information I will forward to Easy Lunch Boxes and you will receive a coupon code to order your lunch boxes online. Winner may choose their lunch bag color.
Wow! This is indeed an early christmas gift…glad I came across your blog entry this early, hehe. I usually get inspirations from your packed lunches for my little bug. I just wish I can also make her eat most of what I pack for her. That’s still a hit and miss process with her. Am not giving up, hehe.
Aw.
Hi there!
Isn’t it wonderful! I’m so thankful that CEO of LUNCH PACKING, Kelly Lester was agreeable to sponsoring a give away for us here in Manila!!
Good Luck and Keep Packing!
My daughter loves looking at the lunches you post on your site, so I prepare similar lunches for her! She loves fruit and bright colors, I put lots of variety and textures into every lunch, like rainbow pasta or mini fruit kabobs. Thanks for your inspiration!
Hi Alexa,
I’m so glad you stop by the blog and look at the lunches with your daughter!
It’s really important to give the kids a healthy array of choices so that she feels empowered to eat healthy too!
Good Luck!
Make lunch for myself all the time, but my four-year-old is just beginning Pre-K and has shown interest in bringing his lunch. These would be great for him!
Hi Ayanna! Thanks for stopping by 🙂 It’s really important to start the kids early with good eating habits. Your son is the perfect age! Good Luck!
I would love to try these lunch boxes. I have tried so many different containers for my children’s lunches and I have yet to find the perfect one!
Hi Ashley. I have tried a bunch too. Since we have sandwiches and pasta quite frequently, that my kids don’t mind eating at room temperature-Easy Lunch Boxes are really the best choice for us. Good Luck!
My girls switch between home lunch and hot lunch (school)
I’ve been thinking about buying these. I’ve got some bento boxes but they can’t go in the microwave. I’d love to get them.
This would be an awesome early Christmas gift if I win 🙂 My daughters always bring snacks and lunch to school. My younger one ONLY eats home cooked meals and never buys from school so this will be very useful 🙂
Hi Michelle,
My kids bring snacks (sandwiches, fruits) and lunch (rice, pasta) in school. These would be really perfect 🙂
Btw, I really love looking at your lunchboxes posts 🙂 Hope to prepare them like you do 🙂
Thanks Marites.
These containers are perfect for sandwiches. If you choose to include rice or pasta, I just use the silicon cups to keep things separate. They are great because they are easy to use and easy to clean and stack for safe keeping in the cabinets too. Thanks too for the kind words about my lunch box posts 🙂 I always try to vary what the kids eat. Sometimes, I get a little lazy but I get inspired when I hear of Mommas just like me who are looking for inspiration too!
I’m so glad I saw the post shout this giveaway! I’ve been following you on IG, but hadn’t visited your blog. Glad I did!
Thanks for visiting Carolie 🙂 Feel free to come by again.
Good Luck!
I prepare my kids lunches using different containers as I separate rice from the viand. If they will bring snacks like fruits, cookies or sandwiches, these go to another container or in Ziploc bags. These easy lunchboxes will not only be functional but efficient as well since I can put together almost everything in one container – similar to what you’re doing Michelle! =) Thanks for sponsoring this giveaway and for sharing us your creativity 😉
You are Welcome Cyrene!
Thanks for stopping by. That’s really why I love these containers. Everything in one shot. EASY to clean. EASY to pack. EASY all around!
It would be so cool if I won this set!
Good Luck Kaye!
These containers are bigger than what you usually pack, but I really love them.
Hi Michelle,
I am glad I did a frequent visit in your blog or your IG and found out about this giveaway. I learned a lot from your cooking/baking. You’re like my Mommy who loves to prepare me baon when I was young. And as I am starting preparing food for my tot, you gave me a lot of new ideas. Anyway, my tot is not going to school pa but, as we always travel for her monthly checkup I usually packed fruits and cookies for her. But I usually I put it on a ziplock as I don’t want to bring a lot of things. This would be a great help when I’ll enroll her to preschool maybe next year. Thanks for this giveaway and continue to post baon ideas and recipes on your IG. Btw, Gellibean is so cuuutteee. 🙂
Hi Jea! Thanks for stopping by all the time! I’m so glad that you enjoy checking out my IG posts and the posts I have on cooking and baking. I’m trying to post more recipes as I enjoy cooking and baking so much. One thing I love about Easy Lunch Boxes is that you can keep reusing them for a long time. We are on a second year of our first pack of boxes! That’s savings if you think about all the resealable bags you would use in that time!
Thanks also for the kind words about Gellibean 🙂 I think she’s a cutie pie too 😉
Wow this is a great give away. I prepared foods for my daughter using different containers. It uses lots of space. Hope to win this. -D
Hi Aldrin!
Good Luck!
I usually place my daughter’s lunch food in each separate zip lock bags with disposable paper plates and cutlleries, which sometimes costs money.
Yes, Agnes. Buying disposable items for packing lunch for the kiddos is not only expensive, but it’s bad for the environment. Good Luck!
I place my kids food on separate plastic dish bags.
Hi Carmen. Easy Lunch Boxes truly makes lunch packing easy, so you won’t have to use separate plastic dish bags.
I wonder if I entered right
i make my daughter favorite lunch in a very creative way so she would eat it all!
I usually prepare my child’s baon with rice, meat and soup in a container that will keep it hot till lunchtime.
Hi Gayle!
This lunchbox container is good for dry viands, rice, and fruit or dessert. Even if you win this giveaway, I still suggest you keep your child’s soup in a container that is spill proof and insulated. Good Luck!
I am bad at making bento meal, I tried it once and my son was really happy seeing his baon with a different look. I want to learn and embrace bento making. But for now, I just give him healthy dishes and cook his lunch with lots of love so that he would enjoy eating it at school! 🙂
Hi Istin!
HEALTHY is good. Healthy is very good!
Hi Michelle! Your IG post brought me here, and I’m glad I did 🙂 I try to prepare bento snacks and/or lunch for my little girl when time permits, or when my mornings aren’t that crazy. Mine are pretty straight-forward. Nothing fancy. But many times, I’ve had problems about the food moving around the lunch box while it’s being transported and stuff can spill or get mixed together which isn’t particularly appetizing when you open the box to eat. “Eeewy!” she told me one time. Do you get that sometimes? I’ve been looking for the perfect lunch box that will hopefully keep the food from spilling.
Hi Marryl! So glad you stopped by :-)One of the things I do to help keep the food separate is use silicon cups. This way the food doesn’t mix up so much. I also tell the kids if there is a chance that they might mix. Sometimes, just a little reminder for them to be careful with the lunchbox helps.
I pack in tiny individual containers. I can’t find a lunchbox I like that’ll fit these horizontally.
Hi Lisa!
Even if you aren’t chosen as the lucky winner, Easy Lunchboxes are well worth the investment. You should look into them 🙂 They are my lunchbox container of choice.
I would love to try easylunchboxes! I pack lunch (and instagram it daily! LOL) for 2 of my 4 kids! My 3rd is going to kindergarten next year, and i’d love to have a set to use for her!
Hi Miranda! Will check out your handle on IG! I’m always looking for inspiration 🙂 I don’t always remember to IG our lunches 🙁
For me preparing lunch for my son it’s a messy horror! I could really use that easy lunch boxes system
I would be forever greatful to use these for our lunches
Hi Tonia!
Good Luck!!
I prepare baon for my husband everyday. It gets monotonous, I know. Hopefully, these easy lunch boxes will help me be more creative in planning what to prepare for his baon.
Hi Theresa!
I know all about the monotony of it. I look to Instagram and the Easy Lunch Boxes website for inspiration 🙂
Great giveaway! I’d love to win this and copy your lunches. 🙂
Thanks Trisha!
Yes. Great giveaway indeed!
We are so lucky that Kelly over at Easy Lunchboxes felt our blog was worthy 🙂
I just make sure that the food does not spoil easily but most of the time, i ask what they want their baon to be. 🙂 I believe that if it is their choice then most likely they would eat it.
Yes. Agree. Totally. Getting the kids involved in the process is important so that they feel empowered to eat healthy. I usually ask the question like this: Would you like adobo, rice, and vegetables today? OR a sandwich and some fruit? The age old trick of providing two choices You are happy with gives them the ability to make a choice that you provide.
I love seeing the delicious lunches you prepare on here. I went out and ordered some easylunchboxes and little containers…they are great for making my little guy’s lunch, that he can open on his own!! (he’s 3…) Mine certainly don’t compare to what you’ve got here, but I’m working on it…:) Thanks!!
Hey Daniela!
I’m so glad that you were inspired to order your own set already! These lunchboxes ARE in fact great for little hands. Happy Packing!
I dislike making lunches so I’ve been getting things to make it fun for myself e.g. edible markers, vegetable cutters, egg molds, etc. These lunch boxes would be a fab addition!!
Hey JD.
The whole process is about making it fun too! Where do you buy your bento tools?
These lunch boxes would be great to unleash the creativity in me. 🙂 .As a mother of two picky eaters, it would be easier for me to add veggies and fruits for their baon.
Hi Leah.
This is another reason why I began packing lunch as well. I wanted to be sure that the kids weren’t eating junk food all the time. Even if the canteen has healthy choices that my kids can avail of…if I’m not there, I am not sure WHAT they are purchasing and eating.
Packing lunches not only saves money but also ensures that what they are eating is healthy. So, yes to lunches packed with not only food but tlc! ^_^
Absolutely Ning!
You hit the nail on the head. It’s healthier, more cost effective, and is one way to show your kids just how much you love them and want to care for them.
My mom prepares my lunch and she always packs my food carefully to make sure nothing will spill.
Hi Astra.
How lucky that your mom still packs your lunch for you 😉 When opening your lunch, the last thing you want to see is spillage. That’s one of the reasons why I use silicon cups too 🙂 Good Luck!
im preparing our food in different containers and make sure that the hot foods will be cooled first before putting the lid.
Hi Chan.
Thanks for stopping by. Yes. Agree. Totally. Cooling food before you cover is an important part of the process.
If I don’t win the giveaway, I’m definitely buying these for my kids lunches! They’re starting at a Montessori school next year and these will come in handy!
Good Luck Stephanie!
These lunch boxes are not only really handy, they are super affordable and durable too!
My kid eats everything cute so I find extra time to research on new ways on how I can make a a simple fruit or vegetable turned into a cute animal or face. I recently bought a bento book to help me to be more creative. 🙂
Hi Cy!
I’m like you 🙂 I buy books and search for inspiration 🙂 Good LUCK!
Well, I make sure that I prepare a healthy lunch for him using some creative bento ideas. 😀
I am lucky to have kids who are not picky eaters.. so every time i prepare lunch baon for them it is just a usual rice, fruit and ulam in a microvable plastic containers
Hey Diana!
You sure are lucky 🙂 Picky eaters are hard to pack for…so I’m sure that your lunch packing is easy too!
when it comes to my kids’ baon, i made it a point to prepare healthy meals (balanced diet) which consists of fruits, veggies, meat or fish. I make a bento style baon for them to be more interested with their baons 🙂
Hi Joy!
That’s perfect! I try to do the same thing too 🙂
my kids are happy if im the only one who cook their baon.
Hi Helen!
My kids are the same way. When their yaya was packing their lunch before, they would complain often. It’s ok, diba? We only get to pack their lunches for a little while. Before we know it they will be big and not asking us to pack lunch anymore…
These lunch boxes are great and because Im preparing a baon for the 3 of us. for my kids and me when I go to work because it saves a lot of money and to be sure its sanitize and clean..
Thanks for the chance. Happy I drop by here..
Hi Maricel! Yes. Keeping lunch safe and clean is important. Also, keeping all the different lunch items separate is also important to us 🙂 Thanks for dropping by, and Good Luck!
I love that these are Freezer & Microwave safe! I would love to be able to pack lunches for hubby and being able to freeze them would really be Great!
Me too! It makes packing your lunches for the week EVEN easier! Hence, the name Easy Lunch Boxes…
Good Luck!
i prepare daily to keep the food fresh, by packing easy to prepare food like sandwiches and pasta.
most of the time i prepare snacks: fruits and drinks
I usually prepare snacks for my little one: grilled cheese sandwich, a bunch of grapes, and Dutch Mill yogurt drink. It’s nice to put them separately as so not to get a squishy sandwich or squished grapes, but too bulky as I use separate containers! 🙂
Most of the time I prepare snacks on my own. I use most of the space of lunchboxes. Mostly, circle containers.
I prepare snacks like biscuit and juice
I have 3 sisters who are staying in our house with their kids. I want to prepare nutritious food but ensure that they will enjoy it. By looking at all the creations, tis give them the best experience in every meal.
I have a lot of schooling nephews so it is ideal to have this for them to enjoy eating
i prepare in separate small container ,.
Would like to win these lunch boxes additional piece to my bento collections 🙂 I prepare my children’s baon (nursery and kinder) with love and fun. They help me prepare doing this and a perfect way to bond with them.
Glad, I visited your blog. It gives me an idea of this lunchbox.
I always pack what Y likes to eat. She’s such a picky eater so when she wakes up in the morning, I ask her what she likes to have for recess! 🙂
I want this lunchbox for Y next school year! 🙂
