So, if you haven’t noticed lately, I have been loving my #SmoothieBowls.
I actually think they are the perfect meal.
- You can enjoy a smoothie bowl on a hot summer day.
- You can opt for a fun twist or go really green and healthy.
- You can add extra fruit toppings to change it up.
- You can opt for crunchy toppings like granola to give it texture.
- You can’t go wrong with any meal like this, because there is not right or wrong way to prepare or enjoy a smoothie bowl!
My friend Pam Siao from @greenlunchdiaries has been an advocate of eating healthy and taking care of her body by way of what she puts into it. A working mom who has a few different businesses, it’s easy to see why she is successful in what she chooses to pursue. She pursues what she loves, and she is good at it.
Earlier this year she launched her new baby, BLISS BOWLS. Bliss Bowls is a little shop located on the 4th floor in SM Megamall in the Bridgeway. It’s the FIRST SMOOTHIE BOWL BAR in Manila.

Toppings make the bowl! Having a choice of different toppings that you can add to any existing bowl on the menu is a great option.
What’s a Smoothie Bowl?
A smoothie bowl is a healthy mix of frozen fruits and vegetables blended into a mixture that is thicker than your average smoothie. Ingredients can also include oats, nuts, nutritious supplements, dried fruits, and seeds.
Ok. So, if you play with the different ingredients and toppings you can address many health issues by way of food. (Y’all heard about using your food as medicine right?)
So my friend Pam, together with her brother and her cousins, thought it would be a great idea to open up this HEALTH bar which would be the first of its kind here in Manila. I think it is brilliant, and I know quite a few of my friends have enjoyed visiting Bliss Bowls for the different variations on nutritious and deliciously light meals.

When I visited Pam’s shop earlier this year, I was happy to make it a little get together of sorts with my friends, Tina, Michelle, and Janice. We were supposed to meet anyway for some other things we were working on together and when that fell through, we decided that Pam’s shop was still a great excuse to see one another.
PLUS, y’all know it’s more fun to try a new place with the girls right? That means we get to try more than one dish! The beauty in eating out and trying a new restaurant with your friends is that everyone gets to pick a dish that they want to try, but they still get to try other dishes, simply because…SHARING IS CARING.
So here are the bowls that we tried:
BERRY BLISS (P199)
Berry Bliss is their bestselling bowl. It boosts performance, endurance, and immunity. It is a delicious and refreshing blend of strawberries, beets, banana, and fresh coco water. It is topped with fruit, granola, and coconut flakes.
AMAZING KALE (P260)
This is one of three green bowls made with kale, banana, mango, spirulina, chia seeds, coconut or almond milk, granola, and coconut flakes.
CACAO KISS (P260)
This is an absolutely delicious chocolate bowl that promotes heart health and is a natural anti-depressant. Made with banana, strawberries, unsweetened cocoa, nut butter, coconut or almond milk, granola, and coconut flakes, this is basically the healthy dessert of your dreams.
GREEN DREAM
This is their signature green bowl that is an ideal lunch. Made with spinach, mango, banana, organic chia seeds, and fresh coco water, it’s like a salad, but colder! Green Dream has anti-cancer and anti-inflammatory properties, and helps promote weight loss and a flat belly.
Now, I know that everyone’s New Year’s Resolution usually has to do with getting healthier, becoming more fit, and making better choices. Since Pam’s shop opened up just after New Year’s, she has made it easier on all of us to get on the path to feeling better and looking good too.
I am actually craving a Green Dream right about now…
