I really enjoy what I do.
I do a lot of things. I mean, for those of you who are mommas, you know we ALL do a lot of things. We are constantly balancing, running, chasing, and even fixing things along the way because that’s what mommas do when they have 4 kids to look after.
I have shared before how Gellibean’s birth gifted me with a new perspective. Everything just became a little clearer and a lot more in focus. People who weren’t meant to be in my life slowly found their way out, and were suddenly not as important as they used to be.
That made way for better people to come into my life.
People who were generous. People who were kind. People who wanted to make the world a better place for kiddos like my Bean.
I guess you can say that my ideals changed.
I took my advocacy to another level simply because it now became my goal to make the world a better place for my daughter and for all those kids and adults just like her.
I realized I needed to put myself out there so that if there was a possibility that I could reach ONE momma in a way that would be helpful for her, as she welcomed a new baby into her life, then I would have already fulfilled my purpose in this lifetime.

There was no way I could have prepared myself for Gellibean’s surprise arrival in my life. If I only knew then, what I knew now, I surely would not have shed one tear. Photo by: Sheila Catilo
She’s why I started blogging.
And it’s through my blogging that I have been able to make some pretty wonderful friends, like Patty, and Sabrina, and it is also why I have even met some pretty interesting people like Daniel, Rob, Michael, Janie and Giulia.
You see, I was lucky enough to be included in the group of bloggers that was able to spend some time with the principals who came for the media preview of the newest Cirque du Soleil production, Toruk.
Toruk- The First Flight, is the first Cirque du Soleil production that was inspired by a movie. It is based on the record breaking film Avatar, by James Cameron. The “Avatar” storyline gave birth to the newest traveling “Circus of the Sun,” that is now touring across Asia.
The gift in this production coming to Manila, is that my Gellibean was able to FINALLY experience “Cirque” in all its glory, in all its splendor, and with all the wonderfully generous people involved in this interactive show in a HUGE WAY.
This is where my new friend, Daniel gave Gelli an experience of a lifetime.
Sounds a little dramatic no?
I feel like it is.
I feel like the kindness that Daniel, Giulia, and Janie showed my daughter isn’t something that happens often. It’s this act of kindness that I am sure, my lil’ will not soon forget.
After the show, I had sent Daniel a message gushing about how wonderful I thought the show was.
It was interactive.
It was huge.
It was incredible to see Gelli mouth wide open, eyes affixed for each part of the show, on the edge of her seat starry eyed for the performances that had her hypnotized.
But not before Daniel saw first-hand just how mesmerized Gelli was by his make-up and costume.
Daniel mentioned in passing, that he had an idea to do Gelli’s make up so that she could become a Na’vi.
And of course I jumped at the offer for my girl to sit in his make up chair.
My girl was happy.
My kids were intrigued.
My heart was full.
But don’t take my word for it. Check out this video we put together. To be honest, I’m not sure who was more excited. I was on the verge of crying and laughing the entire afternoon.
Amazed at the kindness that Daniel showed my girl.
Amazed at the support the whole team offered my family in bringing awareness to kids like my Bean.
Amazed at
