Since the beginning of our enhanced community quarantine, I have often wondered what the future of events would look like. It’s quite likely that we will not be getting together for face to face events without social distancing for what could be, another year. Today, I attended my first meetup on Zoom as my friends and I tried out the signature stay-in retail line of High Street Cafe.
The New Normal
Armed with my zoom set up from Nino, I was ready with my tools, the kit, and some lights. Knowing that it would be an intimate zoom call, I was pleasantly surprised to see some of my friends and even more excited to know we would be “cooking” together.
The kits come complete with everything you will need for a hearty meal in a bowl. Each component of the soups are vacuum sealed in bags to be reheated in boiling water.

It really is that easy.
All you have to do is set the timer for 7-8 minutes and “plate” your lunch!
I even went a little extra by cutting in some green onions for color. Certainly, I could have just snipped the corners of each of the baggies and poured it into a single serving bowl.
Heart Double Boiled Soup consists of a 250 ml double-boiled broth with pork ribs, mushrooms, goji berries, and ginseng.

I really enjoyed the fresh juices. The packaging was so clever. Fresh juices can often double as medicine. The saying holds true “You are what you eat.” In this case, using vegetables, herbs, and fruits as medicine further reinforces my understanding that we can heal our bodies through food and drink.
