My gosh. I can’t even begin to tell you how many changes have taken place in our family’s landscape in the last few months.
I have been wanting to write.
To catch up on thoughts.
To share milestones.
And to celebrate with everyone, all of our small victories…
BUT LIFE.
And as I start to write this quick catch up, to try and find my groove of writing (again) I find myself asking the question: Is it really March already?
Our holidays came with many blessings.

One thing Nino and I love to celebrate every year, is the Feast of the Seven Fishes with our family and friends who spend Christmas Eve with us.
The blessing of family. Of continued health. Of a little bit of travel.
And the realization that HEALTH is really WEALTH. There was a nasty flu that went through all of us, (including my parents) and that was not easy! My parents even had to leave Christmas Eve dinner early, because my dad felt so bad.
As January and February are always the busiest months of the year for Best Buddies Philippines, we have to be ready to hit the ground running with everything that the first quarter brings.
There are walks to support, events to attend, and plans to be made as we map out the entire year for Best Buddies Philippines.

Happy Walk is one of the family events that we all look forward to. It’s a crazy mix of excitement, work, and fun!
We have some really exciting things in the pipe line, and I can’t wait to share them with everyone here and on our social media pages. Sometimes it’s hard to keep up with everything! One thing is for sure, we are so thankful that we have the opportunity to support everyone in our common mission of inclusion.
We also moved from Alabang to BGC. And as of now, we are loving the new digs. We are still getting used to the differences and changes in our family dynamic because we are all not COMPLETELY settled yet, but so far I am really enjoying “city” life.
I have been walking a lot more, and ironically enough, I am spending more time outside than I was in breezy Alabang. Nino and I have even been competing to see who is closer to our goal of 10,000 steps a day.
Sabrina and I have been working on some really fun things together, too. I think it’s such a privilege to be able to do what we love. And I love it even more when we are in sync not just with each other but with the other people we love collaborating with!
So, as we gear up for 2019 (shucks it’s almost the end of March already) I am excited to find my groove of writing again. I am excited to share more about my faith with all of you, and I am excited for what The Lord has planned for my family in the coming months.
Oh! And HAPPY WORLD DOWN SYNDROME DAY!
You know the drill 🙂 Celebrate with me and Gelli. She’s the whole reason why I’m here and writing for all of you. She finally gave my courage to share my story. And she’s a huge part of it. And her extra chromosome too.
