The holidays are always a special time for our family.
My family is my everything to me…even more so during the holidays when we want our loved ones near. I nominate @sinfullysabrina @manilamommy and @mytummycraves to post a photo of their family that best shows a moment of togetherness. By doing so, we all help @ladyschoiceph #ThankUTogether for a cause. Every family photo posted with the #ThankUTogether hashtag helps light up Sitio Castile this #Christmas. Please join the movement and share the light!

We know that Christmas comes early, here in the Philippines for most everyone who doesn’t live under a rock. By September first all the malls are playing Christmas music, and the store windows are slowly transformed into holiday landscapes with vignettes of togetherness and celebration.
Our family begins our holiday marathon much like we did while we were still living in New York. We have our make shift Thanksgiving celebration, and I ALWAYS find myself reflecting on the blessings that the year has brought our family. I am filled with gratitude and I remember to thank God just a little more because I know there are so many families out there who have to struggle to meet their daily needs.
I pull my loved ones in closer. I share my blessings with my friends. I am very much aware how important it is to tell those that I love, how grateful I am for their presence in my life. Bringing my family and friends TOGETHER at this time not only makes me happy and the season of giving more joyous, it also reminds me that we can always choose to be KIND.
I am thoughtful in my actions. One of the ways that I demonstrate gratitude is by sharing. I have even started an Advent Christmas tradition with my family, so that my children understand the desire I have for them to learn how to be KIND.
Sometimes, these Random Acts of Christmas Kindness are elaborate and well thought out. Other times, I have taught my kids that doing something simple for someone out of consideration is just as good as our well thought out plans.
One way I know I can be kind this year is through this new campaign which will shed light on a basic need that the people of Sitio Naubo have, that has yet to be fulfilled.
I think the thing I love most about this country is the fact that there is this Bayanihan spirit alive and well in most everyone you will meet. In Sitio Naubo, everyone depends on one another to get through the harshest of times. They lean on one another and in true Filipino form, they pull together as a community to support one another.
Lady’s Choice has given the gift of light to the people of Sitio Naubo and you can see in their heartfelt advertisement how important this gift is for the whole town. With this gift of light, their simple celebrations are brought to life in a way which many of us take for granted. Kudos Lady’s Choice!
If you would like to give the gift of light this Christmas as well, you can do your part, here in cyberspace. With minimal effort you can make a difference in the lives of others who meet the challenges of their lives every day without the luxury of electricity. All you have to do is share the campaign, share a family photo, and why you think being together during the Christmas season is most important to you.
Every photo shared with the #ThankUTogether hashtag, will further the campaign and bring light into homes that need it most.
Do your part.
Share a family photo.
Share why being together during the holiday season is important to you and your family.
Challenge three of your friends to do the same.
Here is a sample of what you can use to post:
