I love products that make my life easier. This is because I am a mom. I am a wife. I am a yoga teacher, blogger, free lance writer, and so much more. I wear so many hats, I am constantly balancing so many different jobs that having help (in the house and on the job) keeps me sane.
Philips products have helped streamline my life in many different ways. From the bottles that Gia used when she was just a wee little one, to the soy milk maker that my kids go crazy over now, we all believe in the innovations that Philips brings to our household.
This is why when I heard about their new “Innovations that Matter to You” campaign, I immediately wanted to know more. I have been giving “Healthy Living” talks during their Traveling Road Shows which visit malls all over the metro area in order to market their household products. I have learned so much about what Philips has to offer, not just our family, but families who choose to invest in their products which make lives easier and healthier. It’s been an interesting experience for me since I try my best to imbibe the healthy lifestyle for our family, but to condense how we to try live healthy in a simple way for a 15 minute talk was definitely a challenge.
The Innovations that Matter to You campaign has been launched in other Southeast Asian countries like Indonesia, Singapore, Thailand, and Korea. Together with each of the citizens in their respective countries Philips put ideas into action that would help the people, and consequently, the country.
In Indonesia, Philips helped develop an app for Indonesians to stay up to date on information and sharing platforms for breast cancer.
In Thailand, Philips developed a mobile testing facility that travels to areas which don’t have access to testing and health care. This testing facility also offers basic health care for senior citizens in the areas that it visits.
By breaking it down into three categories you can submit your suggestions easily.
1) Visit the home page of their Meaningful Innovations website.
2) Click on the category which you would like to submit your idea to. (Access to Healthcare, Healthy Living, Live-able Cities)
3) Click on the “Submit an Idea” button
4) Keep in mind that your ideas should be in an area where Philips can really address the need using their areas of expertise.
After you submit your ideas, there will be a panel which will decide on the best ideas to implement. Six chosen ideas will be tested, and then the best idea will be implemented.
What’s in it for you?
You will be given full credit for your idea. You will help make the lives of Filipinos just a little bit better with Philips as your partner. Wait…YOU WILL MAKE A DIFFERENCE IN THE LIVES OF OTHERS. Isn’t that something we all strive for?
