Review

Mister Butler

There are lots of things that I try to do which makes my life easier.

Sometimes, it has to do with the kids and parenting.

Sometimes, it’s in the kitchen with different appliances that can streamline my time spent preparing our family’s meals.

And then other times, it’s knowing when to ask others for help, because I cannot do it all on my own.

The sisters from Mr. Butler contacted me last year to see if I would like to avail of their services. They just launched this service oriented business and thought that perhaps we could work together in helping them launch their services and their upcoming app. Both Sabrina and I thought it was a great idea, but for some reason, it got pushed to the back burner because we all got so busy.

Sisters Ina and Sen-sen saw the need arise after living abroad that many people have when they come home. Sometimes, we just need a little help for some handy things around the house. Sometimes, we just need a little help in picking up the slack in cleaning. Sometimes, we just need a little help for deliveries and pick up. Not everyone has the luxury of live in house help, and I believe that Ina and Sen-sen see that as the growing number of households decide to forgo that luxury, for various reasons, they can fill in the spots with Mr. Butler for these little things that might not be top on our list of things to do.

Initially, when we first met with Ina and Sen-sen, I remember thinking how much easier it would be to have Mr. Butler deliver my holiday gifts. I try and bake/make all of our holiday gifts, but it’s such a hassle to deliver the freshly baked items in holiday traffic.

At the time, I know Sabrina was also transferring homes, and she mentioned that she used Mr. Butler’s services for little things that needed to be fixed, changed, or added in her new residence. It made it extremely convenient for her, because her husband travels for work. She didn’t have to wait for him to come home to fix things, nor did she have to bother him with “house” work on his days off.

The folks over at Mr. Butler made it even easier, because for the smaller jobs, their handyman will go ahead and purchase the small parts and items for you to fix that lock, the hinge, or even the lighting fixture. They will simply provide the receipt for you to see what they spent, where they spent, and you only reimburse for the parts, and of course, pay them a small fee for their labor.

Can you guys say EASY?

Seriously! Guys, this is so easy!

Ok. So, in my situation, we also moved. We didn’t move very far, but as you all know, it’s always a hassle to transfer homes. No matter how small or how big.

One thing, I realized is that I have so much stuff!

When Ina emailed me to let me know of their new promo, I scheduled for the cleaning after my garage sale.  This way, the house would be free from all clutter, and they would be able to clean everything with ease.

Unfortunately, as luck would have it, I wasn’t able to hold the garage sale on the weekend before they came. I did not want that to stop the house cleaning tho, so I kept my appointment with Ina in the hopes that at the very least, the house would be fresh and clean, even if there was kalat. (clutter and mess)

Sen-sen, Ina, and Rhien came to the house and conducted themselves in a professional and friendly way.

Ina and her team arrived exactly for our scheduled time.

They were friendly and efficient, and moved together to tackle each room of the house.

They cleaned all parts of the kitchen without going through the cabinets. Floors were swept and mopped. Counters and exposed shelves were wiped clean.

All interior windows were cleaned as well.

Walls and shelves were cleaned of all dust and debris. This was perfect for the boys room, because their idea of “clean” does not meet their momma’s standards. Not sure if it’s the age, or the fact that boys just have a different standard of what is clean and what is not. (eyes rolling)

All the wood floors upstairs were swept, mopped, and swiffered. Even if we don’t wear our shoes going upstairs, somehow the floors get dirty too! Keeping Gelli’s room clean is ALWAYS a challenge, but availing of this service left me feeling a little more confident in this feeling of freshness.

Even fixing the toys and putting them back after cleaning the shelves in her room. This makes a huge difference for the cleanliness of Gelli’s room.

All the bathrooms were cleaned. Floors, showers, sinks, and toilets. Everything smelled fresh afterwards too. I just realized, I didn’t ask them what kind of cleaners they used. The fact that the rooms smelled fresh afterwards (and not full of toxins and chemicals) leads me to believe they probably used something that was not chemical filled or laden.

Even wiping down the television and console tables, I noticed that everything was put back where it started. They cleaned up and organized, but didn’t move things so we wouldn’t find them after. (That’s important to someone like me who has lots of little piles on her desk.)

Ok. So this special is amazing, and it’s only running from now until October. You have to call to schedule your appointment because they book up fast (I would imagine so with a deal like this!) I scheduled mine and I was able to get an appointment 2 weeks later.

This is what the Php200 cleaning includes:

Now, since this was the first time I ever used their services, I opted for the team to clean every room in the house except mine. But after speaking with Ina, I realized just how “hands on” they are in managing this new business. They screen every messenger, hand man, and member of the cleaning crew to make sure that everyone is on board for their mission of providing a service that is trustworthy and efficient.

I have already asked Ina to come in and do a couple of other things in my home. In fact, I am excited to get a few more things ticked off my list of things to do with her help. I love checking off those little boxes!

If you would like to take advantage of their special offer, you can contact Mr. Butler by texting Ina at +63 995 960 9537 or emailing hello@getmrbutler.com

For this offer, Mr. Butler will come in and clean your WHOLE house (one time) no matter what the size!

Be sure when you contact Ina, to mention the voucher I am sharing with you. The code is MnMButler200 and you can avail of this special discount if you live in Las Pinas, Paranque, and Muntinlupa!

@mommymundo always has a way of bringing together @mommymundo always has a way of bringing together just what we need, no matter the time of year. Loving these photos of my first boy that were snapped @expomom.

Anyone else thinking about #HolidayPhotos? I am not one of those moms that has it all together before Christmas. It’s usually a mad dash for us at the end of the year, but if it’s anything that the past few years has taught me, it’s that the little things are what makes the Christmas special.

Many of us haven’t been together with the extended family or even our immediate family in so long. That means it’s the perfect time to document.

@nextbymetrophoto will be hosting one last Christmas Marathon family photo shoot before the end of year. Check them out or shoot them a message. They have some cute set-ups.

Is there anything better than a stuffed turkey at Is there anything better than a stuffed turkey at this time of year? Whole turkeys require serious commitment to cook. #IYKYK But because U.S. Poultry is now available here in the Philippines, that also means preparing turkey is a tad bit easier.

Frozen U.S. turkey products are available and ready to cook for people who want to dabble with flavors for this bigger bird but aren't sure how.

Thank you to Chef @ivoryyat for putting together a medley of my favorite fall flavors. This combination of apples, sweet potatoes, and maple syrup perfectly compliment the roasted turkey leg and remind me of flavors and scenes from back in New York.

@usapeecphl l has the highest standards that follow USDA requirements which are certified safe before shipping to the Philippines. Get them in stores near you.
