For those of us who write or blog about “mom stuff,” Mother’s Day weekend can get kinda crazy if we let it. I mean there are just so many events and fun things to do with the family, that it’s really hard to choose where to spend your time!
Truly, there are not enough hours in the day, or days in the weekend this weekend!!!
I have compiled this list of different things to do in The Metro, so that you can choose what is in your area and fits the kids interests, while providing time for you to relax, have fun, and unwind.
MOMENTS WITH MOM
From the 7th to 13th, there will be a week full of surprises for everyone who visits Powerplant Mall in celebration of MOM. Plus, if you spend 15k this weekend, you get freebies from Rockwell too!
FOXlife League of Extraordinary Moms Year 2
On Saturday, May 12th, I will be at SM Mall Of Asia Music Hall, celebrating Motherhood with The League of Extraordinary Moms by FOXlife.
In their second year, FOXlife has asked for nominations of Extraordinary Mommas from all of the metro.
I am so excited to meet these 10 moms who go the extra mile to take care of their families and do it all.
McCormick Flavor Nation Festival
On Sunday, May 13th, Sabrina and I will be cooking up some goodness at the McCormick Flavor Nation Festival. We have come up with some new dishes highlighting the launch of their new Asian dipping sauces and mixes that are not only easy to make, but delicious, and fun.
Come and stop by from 10AM – 8PM for learning activities, fun ways to play with your food, and samples of the new ways to prepare restaurant favorites in your kitchen!
Plus you can also catch informative demos by Sabrina Artadi, Neri Miranda, Chef Tenten Casasola, and workshops all day by Bento by Kat!
The Give Back Project
Also on Sunday, May 13th, you can get crafty with the kids and pay it forward for #LeviLittleLionHeart with The Give Back Project. I have written about this worthy endeavor in another post from last week if you would like more details.
It’s perfect for those of us who live in the south because it’s in the Pacific Village Clubhouse!
Nickelodeon Mom & Me
Also on Sunday, May 13th, (and for the Northerners) Nickelodeon will be hosting a fun filled event for the whole family, at SM City North EDSA, The Block. Kids and kids at heart can participate in different activities from play family games to making cupcakes together with mom.
Doors open at 10am and since I have attended some of the Nickelodeon events before, I KNOW this will definitely keep the little entertained with fun activities for little and big kids alike.
Pink Fong and Baby Shark Day
Century City Mall has a fun event that is inclusive of a buffet lunch, movie passes, and entertainment for the whole family as well!
Sofitel Presents Family Culinary Favorites For Mother’s Day
Spiral has always been a wonderful place to celebrate the most special occasions in our family. This year, Sofitel honors wondermoms, Christine Jacob Sandejas and Suzi Abrera as they collaborate with Spiral’s Master Chefs in showcasing their family favorites.
Momma’s Day Treat
Coco Nail Studio is one of my favorite places to go and relax for a little pampering.
