Netflix Updates and ECQ Season 3.0

As we head into ECQ Season 3.0, Netflix updates us on what we can expect that is new and exciting. As many of us continue our valued monthly subscriptions, we can look for added kiddie and family features that everyone can enjoy. Netflix provides opportunities to travel countries far and beyond, through our favorite K-dramas. It helps ground us in gratitude for good health with medical series like The Good Doctor or New Amsterdam. And of course, it offers growing families the opportunity to bond with little ones over shows that are family friendly and perfect for movie night bonding, like VIVO.

During a recent media event, bloggers and media were invited to learn all things new with Netflix Philippines.

So what’s NEW on Netflix NOW?

As always, Netflix offers families of all ages, the opportunity to come together and watch original films and series. These cinematic adventures leave room for discussion and bonding. While still other movies will have us singing along, and enjoying our own proudly Pinoy talents on a worldwide stage.

Safety features allow us to give the kids their own user names without worry, so parents can create settings guaranteeing age appropriate content. On top of the safety and viewing settings, parents can now enjoy two new features as we manage our families’ viewing habits.

Bi-weekly Recap Emails

Sent to your inbox in your account every other week, the new bi-weekly recap summarizes the following:

Easy to digest data based on what your child watches and enjoys.

  • Offers recommendations based on your child’s favorite shows and movies

  • Provides printable coloring sheets and activities inspired by your kid’s favorite characters

  • Shares the top themes or topics charts that show the types of programs your child enjoys most (i.e. science, friendship)

  • Shares tips on how to use “Kids features” on Netflix.

Kids TOP 10

This new feature monitors and share the TOP 10 picks for kids in the country that you are living in. Spinning off from the TOP 10 rows that fills your screen for your own username, this feature offers the TOP 10 based on your child’s age, preference and profile locks. All the options are customized for your kiddos and your kiddos’ settings.

TOP 10 most popular choices based on your location and settings provide easy pickings for the little ones.

You can find the TOP 10 series, the TOP 10 films, and more, based on your location which makes it even more helpful in finding something to enjoy together as a family, or on your own.

What to watch For:

Beyond these new features, Netflix consistently rolls out content for all of us to enjoy. Because of ECQ 3.O, we have a little bit more time on our hands.

Some new movies and series that families of all ages can look for, include:

Vivo

The storyline of this animated musical adventure has the main character, Vivo, a rainforest honey bear from South America, journeying to an unknown place. He fulfills his destiny as he delivers a love song for an old friend, and finds friendship along the way. Recognizable voice talents like Lin Manuel Miranda, Gloria Estefan, and Zoe Saldana keep adults and children entertained with a soundtrack that begs to be played on repeat.

Centaurworld

This animated American series centered around a warhorse who is transported to a strange land with centaurs of all shapes and sizes follows her journey through this magical dimension.

As Netflix continues to evolve and offer a product that we can use to travel, enjoy food from al different countries, and bond with the family, the additional features that constantly evolve, enable parents and users of all ages to make the most of their subscriptions.
