If I was in NY, this would be the time that I would be planning out my calendar for all the fun Fall Festivities. With different festivals scattered through out the Hudson Valley, there is always something fun to bring the kids to if you are willing to take a drive.
In NY at this time of year…this is a beautiful time to drive. You get to see the foliage, wear warm sweaters, and drive with the windows down for the cool crisp weather.
Even if I’m not in NY anymore, there are times of the year that I know our calendars become quite full with activities for school, friends, and well…simply because the month ends with the last three letters B-E-R.
Yes…the “BER” months are upon us and we have now come into our “Christmas Season,” here in Manila!
Funny Story:
A couple of years ago, I walked into the mall to do some browsing. I wasn’t really looking for anything, and if I remember correctly, I was just waiting for Nino to finish something up, so I was killing time.
It was September 1st. I heard Christmas music playing in the store I was shopping in. I told the salesgirl, “Miss, there must be a mistake. You put on Christmas music for the store.” She answered, “No mistake ma’am. It’s September first. We can play Christmas music already.”
Truth:
I LOVE Christmas.
Another Truth:
But I also love Halloween and Thanksgiving too! So let’s not skip these holidays for me please?
