There are so many things we can do to keep our kitchens more organized.
Keeping the kitchens organized means getting meals on the table faster and more efficiently.
That makes for easy cooking and serving.
Right?
Last month, Sabrina and I welcomed the media into the Häcker Kitchen to showcase just how easy it is to organize your pantry with the help of Lock and Lock’s NEW Easy Match line.
By using this presentation as a simple guide, we were able to introduce some easy concepts into keeping a cleaner and more organized food pantry. This way, we can eliminate food waste and also make sure that our jobs as Chef Moms is not any more difficult than it has to be.
Lock and Lock Easy Match Line makes it easy on us in the kitchen by having matching tops and bottoms. These plastic containers can also save space by stacking when put away. They keep the bugs away, moisture out, and with simple labels from Happy Kitchen Inc, can even make for easily identifying what ingredients you may need when preparing your family meals.
Is this #pantrygoals or what? I love how the girls from Boqueria Lifestyle Market turned these empty kitchen cabinets into a colorfully organized resource filled with raw ingredients for our guests to get creative with the Ariston and Philips appliances.
Here are some items we incorporated into the mix with the design eye of Lady and Steph to exemplify just how easy it is to organize your pantry.
Pantry Labels by Happyinc.PH keep things neat and tidy without any confusion. Labeling all your baking and dry ingredients not only keeps everything in their right place, they are also pretty too.
Using a riser in your spice cabinet makes it easier to find your McCormick spices that you are looking for. Plus, it just makes more sense this way, doesn’t it?
Even using under the shelf baskets makes it easier to find the ingredients you are looking for. I use these under the shelf baskets for my bags of pasta.
Sometimes, it’s ok to think “outside the box.” Like in this case we used a magazine holder which would normally be used in the office, to store our Glad Cling Wrap and Press and Seal.
But having these ingredients ready for picking is what made this Mothers Who Brunch event just a little different from the previous events we have hosted.
We asked our guests to cook for US!!
Each team of “cookers” was given a resource list of recipes that Sabrina and I provided.
We asked each team to come up with something that they would like to cook or assemble. And we asked them to serve it in a creative way using their Lock and Lock Easy Match containers which could be seen all over the showroom.
Team One prepared a tomato based mixture that could be topped on pasta or served in a taco. And then they provided another option for our favorite meal of the day…brunch. Or as Joey, from 80 breakfasts would have…breakfast.
Of course, using fresh organic ingredients from Earth Origins made this dish even more appealing to the the health buffs in attendance.
They were able to create more than one dish!
Multiple ways to use the same ingredients utilizing the #zerowaste principle in the kitchen, made this momma super happy!
(It really drives me nuts when food is wasted.)
Team Two prepared a dry rubbed chicken served atop a couscous salad and corn on the cob that was cooked in the Philips pressure cooker to stay within their alloted 45 minutes. They even made a chocolate dessert!
Can you say amazing?
Team Three created one of my favorite meals to prepare when I am short on time and haven’t shopped in a while.
This was Rowena’s go-to recipe for Tuna Pesto Pasta made with ease and a ready to use sauce sachet from Clara Olé!
Using all the pantry staples in this dish and even adding in ingredients that might be left over in the fridge is even better!
Pass the Pasta Please!!!
Have I shared that I grew up eating pasta 3-4 times a week?
So you can imagine how much pasta we eat in my household with four kiddos and a pasta loving momma…
