I have this friend Anna.

During our SPArty, we were treated to snacks from Chef Anna, Chef Arnold, and Jonathan and Jessica. (Photo Credit: Pastry Armoire FB page.)
She makes gorgeously delicious treats. She is creative. She is quiet. She has good taste. And she loves all things local. She has supported me and my causes more than once, and she is not only generous with her time and expertise but she is a generous friend as well.

Salted Caramel Chocolate Sponge Cake, Chocolate Avocado Cream Sponge Cake, and Brownie Bites with Leche Flan and Dulce De Leche
This weekend, she just opened up her first business here in the south. Readily accessible to the BF community, Chef Anna and her partner Raymond opened their doors to Pastry Armoire this past August 7th.

Reggiano Bread Sticks, Sticky Buns, and Chocolate Mousse with Shortbread Crumble are just a few of the desserts that we indulged in during our SPArty.
Imagine a shop, where you can pick up quite a few different kinds of sticky buns all made with passion and flair for something different. In this shop you can pick up artisanal ice cream, local dips and sauces to make throwing dinner together easier for a busy mom, and even the occasional imported ingredient from that go well with most any dish.

Scones with Kaffir Lime Curd, Cream, and jam are just one of the things you can order for your brunch or afternoon tea.
You can walk in and pick up what you need for a party, or you can place orders ahead for specialty cakes, cupcakes, or healthier snacks as well. You can also ask Chef Anna to put together a very special themed dessert buffet if you don’t want to worry about what to serve your family and friends during your celebrations.

Artisanal Sodas seem to be all the rage right now. I had the opportunity to taste these light and refreshing (not overly) sweet sodas during our SPArty and I really enjoyed them.
If you are thirsty, you can also enjoy some of these really refreshing artisanal sodas….
Or even a cold press brew…
Recently, she invited me for spa party.
This time…the celebrating was even more exciting because it was not just a day of pampering with my best girl, Gia…it was in celebration of Chef Anna’s new venture.

Pick and Polish has a variety of scrubs for the foot spas. From Top Left Clockwise: Milk & Honey, Lavender, Mint, and Strawberry
And we all know that pampering and delicious snacks are all a girl needs for a relaxing Sunday afternoon with the ladies.
Of course Gia and I go for our tried and true colors. She always makes fun of me when I paint my toes red…EVERY time.
I loved that Pick and Polish was light, clean, airy, and had a TON of different colors for me to choose from. I had a chance to talk to owners Mel and Mark for a bit and I sensed a little bit of O.C. ness in the way the polishes were fixed… #thestruggleisreal
But actually, we got to talking and figured out that we have sports in common. It’s the fun part in getting to know the small businesses in your area…Mark used to play volleyball for Zobel. I know a certain someone who also plays volleyball for Zobel.

But seriously…look at that wall of polish!!! And of course say what’s up to my friend Helene. She blogs over at Mrs. Mommyholic.
We had a great time hanging out with the girls. Chef Anna and Chef Arnold kept coming around with these delicious little treats. Perfect for snacking…perfect because there wasn’t a chance of messing up our nails because everything was BITE SIZED!
And it’s really easy to see when people are passionate about what they do…
And with the very smallest of organs…like when my tastebuds started doing cartwheels with these tiny Kaffir Lime Tarts. Oh MY. I will surely be ordering these in the future. They were the perfect bit of tart and tangy for me.

Even Chef Arnold had fun serving up his delicious dips and sauces…There are those little bit of mushroom happy pizza pies again…
But our day would not be complete without mentioning Up in the Clouds Ice Cream.
I made sure to save some room for Up In The Clouds Ice Cream. I had tried their Campfire S’mores Ice Cream before, so I knew their other flavors would not disappoint.
And these girls…

From L-R: Mark, Mel, Millie, Belle, Sabrina, Joy, Chef Arnold, Chef Anna, Sam, Moi, Gia, Helene, and her daughter. We are missing Fleur for our group photo 🙁
Thanks Chef Anna and Raymond, Chef Arnold and Sam, and Mel and Mark! We had a great time relaxing, chatting, and EATING!!!
