It’s December first.
This means Christmas is right around the corner.
Advent has begun.
The tree is trimmed. The gift list has been made and I am slowly ticking off all my inaanaks for their presents to be sent.
But December first also means that my children and I start our yearly ritual of Random Acts of Christmas Kindness.
Every year we try and pay it forward by doing small acts of kindness for strangers.
Sometimes, we know the people we want to show our kind hearts to.
Sometimes they are people we see on the street.
Sometimes we never meet the people who are on the receiving end of our small gestures.
No matter who is on the receiving end, I do hope that they are inspired to pay it forward too.
I thought it would be nice to include something here on the blog, so that if you were inspired to complete your own series of RACK’s with your family, you could do so with ease.
I’ve included the cards we attach to our candy canes that we sometimes tape on the random ATM’s in the area.
We print these cards and include them in our acts of kindness when we can.
You can also print out the calendar with suggested RACK’s or use the blank calendar and fill it in with your own Random Acts of Christmas Kindness.
Want to look for more inspiration?
Check out this blog post by Tracie Stier-Johnson. When I found her blog years ago, I used her idea as the inspiration for our yearly December activity.
