Just yesterday, I was cleaning out the fridge and found a ton of side dishes that were leftover from various lunches and dinners that I have served up for the fam bam in the past few days. Our rule at the table is try at least 1-2 colors on the table. Often times, that means that I will make three different vegetable side dishes for the kids to choose from. I always try to eat more veggies than meat as a rule for myself, but of course, all those different choices means leftovers. And leftovers means waste. I really dislike wasting food, so I do my best in recycling this remnants into something new and exciting for the kids and Nino to enjoy.
Here is one way we like to do it.
Watch Gelli turn simple leftovers into something she loves!
Some other ways we can recycle leftovers are by making different pasta dishes. Or even fried rice for the meal that is contained in ONE BOWL. OR if you are feeling like you have lots of time, you can bake a quiche.
What do you guys do with leftovers?
