Mother’s Day 2015 was a very different celebration for me this year. I had a full weekend of activities and events to attend with my kids. In fact, it was so full, and I was so overbooked, all I had to to do was take one look at Gellibean swimming on the floor from exhaustion after one event, that I knew it was time to call it a day.
On the day before Mother’s Day I was invited to share a little bit of what makes my motherhood amazing. Of course, my motherhood is amazing because of ALL four of my kids. They have all shaped my motherhood and me in some way since the moment they were little peanuts growing in my belly.
However, #ScottsPH invited me to share how Gellibean and Down Syndrome has made for #Momazing Moments in my life in particular. The Scott’s event was held in Megamall and planned to introduce the public to the same Scott’s brand that we all know and love, but with new and improved packaging.

Joyce Uong from Scott’s explains the change in packaging does not affect the same great way Scott’s contributes to the health of our children.
Truth: My dad used to line us up at the fridge to make sure we had a weekly dose of cod liver oil way back when. We would hold our noses and take a tablespoon full of what my dad called vitamins without really knowing or understanding any of the benefits.
Another Truth: While I have yet to give my kids cod liver oil from Scott’s they absolutely LOVE the Vitamin C chewies. My boys take their Vitamin C religiously to boost their immune system, and I don’t have to remind them. Gellibean actually asks for more than one whenever she has hers too. Of course Scott’s is so yummy, she feels like it’s a treat.
On this particular day, however, it wasn’t just about vitamins and making sure our kids take them for their health.
It was about the every day moments we feel as moms, when our kids achieve. These achievements, or milestones, are seen in a way different light for me than they used to be. The many milestones that my three big kids achieved before were not as a big a deal as when I see my Gellibean ACHIEVE.
She changed the ball game entirely. And she changed it all for the better.
Momazing is that mix of pride, accomplishment, joy, relief and the confidence and reassurance of getting it right that ever every mom feels at momens like this. MAGIC MOMENTS, when her child makes a developmental leap, like doing something for the first time.

Fleur Sombrero shared how her motherhood journey includes working full time, writing for her blog, and of course taking care of her daughter Anika. She shared that the challenges of working full time does not hinder the quality time she spends with her daughter.
One thing that the event on that Mother’s Day weekend did for me, was remind me how we are all in this together….how there are just as many different types of Moms as there are stars in the sky. We all do our thing. We all do our best. We all feel like sometimes even our best isn’t good enough for our babies…but that’s the universal feeling that ties us all together. When we question ourselves, when we feel like we can do better, and then those moments…those moments that remind us we are exactly where we should be??
Those are the Momazing Moments that Scott’s is enouraging us to share with one another.

Michelle Lim shared how she balances homeschooling, managing the home and find moments with both of her children.
Those are the #Momazing moments where it all falls into place. Our kids achieve. We are proud.

I had so many momazing moments earmarked to share that day, from breastfeeding, Gelli’s first steps, and going to school as HUGE milestones for Gelli.
So-a couple of my mommy blogger friends and I shared our stories. I learned some new things about them when they shared their momma stories. I felt honored to be up on stage with them, sharing my story along side them. Together with celebrity mommas, Daphne Osena Paez, and Dimples Romana, we all shared what it is like to have the best job in the world.
After our time on stage was done. I took a little time to explore the different stations that were set up for all the Mommas and their kiddos to experience together. There were flip books (I think that was the hit of the day, face painting, balloon twisting, and a Video Booth. My boys and I each took turns in the video booth separately, and I think that even Diego was a little moved by some of the questions that they asked him about his mom.
Y’all know I cry for every good reason right? Well, of course I cried again in the video booth the same way I cried just a little when Daphne introduced me as someone who stands up for ALL children with special needs. But, I will remind you…those are not tears of sadness. The tears I shed are tears of gratitude, of happiness, and sometimes even of pride. Good STUFF. Always good stuff that feels good and reminds me just how lucky I am to be a momma to my four kids and experience the #Momazing moments that fill my heart.

Thank you Scott’s for not only including me as a momma who can share and inspire my story of my motherhood with others, but for also making it really easy to give my kids a head start on boosting their immunity with your soft Vitamin C Pastilles.
You are right…we are all in this together as moms! I so agree that moms should support other moms…who else right? 🙂 Your daughter is a cutie! Her personality shows in the photos 🙂
Thanks so much Joey, for stopping by! I was so glad to have met you this weekend! Hope you can meet Gellibean one day, too! 🙂 Looking forward to seeing you again soon!
