Nino and I have always had more than a fondness for anything that has to do with Makati Shangri-La.
We have so much history in this hotel, that whenever I am invited to learn more about what they are offering, I can never decline the invitation.
It is that special to us.
As you all know, I have always boasted of my love for anything BRUNCH.
And this is why, when we were invited to try out the new brunch offerings of Sage Bespoke Grill, we packed up the cameras and squeezed it into our busy Sunday last week.
Sage Bespoke Grill has always offered a quiet place to brunch with the family on Sundays. With great steaks, chops, and seafood that is deliciously fresh, families can enjoy a slow down Sunday with hearty dishes that can satisfy the pickiest of palates.
I had the chance to chat with Patrick Duff, and he shared that the concept of this new brunch buffet encompasses both the casual feel of a Sunday BBQ, and the elegance and attention to detail of enjoying a meal in Shangri-La.
Casual and Elegant at the same time, is certainly something I can get used to.
Especially if that meal starts with the choice of a tangy Bloody Mary made just the way I like it, or a Sparkling Apple Refresher as we settle into the cozy leather, brass riveted chairs in the main dining room of Sage.
There are other options available if diners would like to go a healthier route.
With freshly made wraps to order, and Caesar Salad made on the spot, it doesn’t have to be all about the meaty options.
But, I must be honest. For me, I enjoyed grilled meat more than anything else. A good piece of grilled meat accompanied by a salad and fresh vegetables (maybe even a roasted potato) is actually the perfect meal for me. I think that may actually have something to do with my blood type too. (I need to look into that.)
A great brunch buffet encompasses all the flavors, textures, and options for guests to leisurely enjoy the time spent with family, while indulging in meticulously prepared salads, breads, meats, and desserts.
My first stop to any buffet is always the cheese and bread. I usually end up suffering afterwards from all the indulging, but honestly, when it’s good cheese and good bread, it’s so worth it!
Because we had a busy schedule last Sunday, when Nino and I visited Sage Bespoke Grill, we were sure to just have a few pieces of the vast array of the desserts that that pastry chefs paired with the All American BBQ themed entrees.
I indulged just a bit more in Apple Cinnamon Crumble, Vanilla Panna Cotta with Salted Caramel, and Cinnamon and Sugar Churro Pops.
The #SundayBBQ buffet is priced P2,000 net per person and will be available until March 31st. Diners may add P800 net for unlimited house wine, beer, and soft drinks.
