Sunnies Cafe is open in Alabang Town Center!
Just the other day, Nino and I were thinking where we could go for one of our brunch dates. After being married to me for so long, Nino has also grown an affinity for this lovely meal where there are absolutely no rules.
Remember, brunch can consist of everything from pasta to steak and eggs. It’s even better when we can have a mimosa, or in the case of eating out with the kids a good cup of coffee and a great milkshake.
Sunnies Cafe is right beside Sunnies Specs in Alabang Town Center.
Our family has visited Sunnies Specs three times already for eyewear for Gia and Miguel. Their pricing is so affordable, and we were even able to get our driver a new set of specs for reading.
This brand is owned and operated by three partners who took their love of eyewear and fashion, and then translated that into an all day brunch restaurant that serves great coffee and cocktails, as well!
I’m not sure how these two businesses fit together, but I’ll take it.
Martine Cajucom, Bea Soriano-Dee, and Georgina Wilson put their heads together to create a look that is immediately recognizable for their brand. With bright colors, simple decors, and affordable eyewear, this brand has taken the country by storm providing options not just for accessories while dressing and playing the part, but also for the necessity that those of us actually NEED glasses in a fashionable way.
So how does a cafe pair with an eyewear studio to open up its doors?
Taken from their website:
“We wanted to bring the Sunnies lifestyle into something experiential for everyone to enjoy. Sunnies Cafe is a fusion of the things we like to see, eat, and drink. All in one space. The menu is a collection of our favorite comfort food with a modern twist. We designed it to be your new go-to spot, from brunch to dinner, and coffee to cocktails.”
Sunnies Cafe has lots of Instagram worthy nooks in their other locations too. The ATC branch does not have any windows, so this makes it difficult to take photos with natural light, but of course, we didn’t let that stop us.
We had just come from a Best Buddies event in De LaSalle Zobel, so we had the whole family with us. I needed a coffee, and Nino needed to eat. Unfortunately, when we are all rushing out of the house, we tend to not eat breakfast. All I do is make sure that Gelli and the big kids eat something, but if time is super short, Gelli might even have a Yumbox packed and ready to go for the car.
In this case, by the time we got to Sunnies Cafe we were all starved!
The interiors reminded me of a diner from days gone by. Pastel colors. Brightly lit. Booths. Simple. The kind of no nonsense place where you hope to get good brunch food with a twist.
And because we were so many (even Miguel’s buddy came out to eat with us) we had a bunch of different dishes we could take a bite and try from each other.
Here’s what we ordered.

Parmesan Crisp Tacos, Bagel and Lox, Fried Chicken and Pancakes, Steak and Eggs, Chicken Fingers, and Banoffee Pie
My take on the resto?
It definitely has a slew of options for the all day brunch lover.
They didn’t have a high chair which is unforgivable when you are in a mall. People come to the malls with their kids and I need a high chair for Gelli because she is still too small to sit on her own.
The coffee was great.
The service was even better. When the manager saw we were waiting for some time for Gia’s order, she followed up and I think, she realized our server forgot to punch Gia’s order in. Of course, by this time we were done with brunch and Gia was the last to eat.
I know Gia was a little annoyed, but I took the time to enjoy my coffee while chatting away with her and her dad.
Before we were ready to leave, the manager asked us if we would like to try dessert. In fact, she suggested we try their best seller. I was glad she did. It was a delicious Banoffee Pie with a cookie crumb crust that I almost devoured all by myself.
And as if she knew we were a little upset, she made sure that dessert was not on our bill.
Thanks Sunnies Cafe!
We will surely be back 🙂
