One of the many perks to being part of the #StreamTeam is the upfront access to new shows, brand new Netflix Feature Films, and star treatment to events where Netflix is present. This includes fun events like Asia Pop Comicon.

We had a blast with some of our #StreamTeam mommas! L-R: Artsy Fartsy Ava, Animetric’s World, Mommy Mundo, and Project Lilo
Now, truth be told, my kids have asked me about Comicon before. They have mentioned it in passing saying that they would like to go, and that it would be really cool, and blah blah blah. But, I was that mom that said, “What? There are going to be so many people there! Are you sure you want to go?”
And then came the invitation to join in the fun with our Netflix family. When I shared with the big kids that we would be able to actually attend this year, the first thing they started looking up was whether or not the cast of Stranger Things would be around.
Of course, we have quite a few shows that we really love when it comest to Netflix, but I like to focus on the shows that I can watch with the kids (I have so little free time) because there is always the opportunity for a teachable moment.
Whether the shows we spend our time on are Stranger Things, Lost in Space, or The Flash, I know that something will come out of us watching together and provide an opportunity for us to talk.
We opted not to bring Gelli to this event because I was sure it would be overwhelming for her and that everyone would end up having to soothe her from being overstimulated.
Instead, we spent the afternoon exploring all the different booths of Chinatown aka Netflix, and had an awesome dinner afterwards with my sissy in S Maison.
Even Gia and her friends had a blast visiting Pop’s Diner!
Gia LOVES this show and I know she was super happy to check out this installation in Netflix downtown…
Thanks Netflix for always providing opportunities for us to bond, spend time together, and have fun!
