My family thinks I’m not sulit for All You Can Eat Buffets.
I beg to differ.
We just have different tastes, so we eat different things at these buffets. We all enjoy the process when we are there…just sometimes, if I over eat, I might regret it just a little when I’m laying in bed still feeling full from the meal immediately before we retire for the night.
So if I have a choice, I would rather go to LUNCH for an Eat All You Can Buffet, because then I would just skip dinner and not feel bad. I like lots of different tastes and textures when I eat, so a place that offers over TWO HUNDRED+ dishes can surely satisfy my palette when I’m looking to change things up.

Thank you Raquel for inviting us for a Mother’s Day treat with my boys. It was a great way to kick off my Mother’s Day weekend.
I have visited the Vikings MOA branch when they first opened and I have to admit that I was a bit overwhelmed and didn’t even know where to begin when we arrived. We visited that branch with Nino’s family during peak hours so by the time we finally sat at a table everyone was so super happy to dig into all of the different stations!
Raquel from Vikings Megamall walked us around the entire restaurant to show us all the different stations and of course the boys were intrigued when they say a “make your own” pizza station. They were so excited with the choice of different sauces and the toppings that they had to make their pizza right away.

When it came to the toppings they had a little assistance. Better that way actually, because they have a habit of piling too many toppings so the crust doesn’t get crunchy.
But don’t let the boys obsession with pizza fool you. There are plenty more stations to indulge in from Chinese, Japanese, Italian, Mediterranean, Filipino, carving, salad, grilled, and desserts. Really, I didn’t know where to start!
So I started with the caviar section. Raquel also showed Diego the treat that so many kids his age LOVE. Milo with a scoop of chocolate ice cream. Here he is, next to the chocolate fountains with his ice cold milo and ice cream.
The more I went around, the more I realized how hungry I was! I think I was so excited, I didn’t even get a picture of the roast beef or deep fried turkey. But you can bet your bottom dollar that I had a slice of each! WITH popovers and gravy too!
There was also a shabu shabu station that I wanted to try. You pick your ingredients for the soup, and then your flavor. They bring it to the table complete with bowls to share and a burner to cook it and keep it warm.

I think it’s so cute when one of these comes to the table. We like to make shabu shabu at home often. We usually eat outside because the kids get a little messy when they cook.
But wait. There was also this pomelo salad that I went back for thirds. Caramelized, (I think it was grilled?) sweet, juicy goodness. I enjoyed at least 3 plates of this from the salad bar. Thanks Raquel for the recommendation!

There is plenty to choose from at the Grilling station. I always love grilling, because grilling is just a little bit healthier.
I have always liked grilled food for the fact that it’s so healthy. Truth be told, I have been known to put everything on the grill and even veggies in foil packets when I didn’t want to do dishes. So you can pick anything from this grilled section, have them grill it for you, and then they will bring it to your table, just like the shabu shabu pot.

I love that the interiors are so comfortable. Thanks Babe for stealing this shot while I was up getting some goodness. These booths were perfect for me with my three boys.
Vikings Megamall can accommodate over 500 guests. This just gives you an idea as to how big the place really is. Now imagine how the buffet is sprawling through out this entire space and how fun it is when it’s full! It’s a boisterous and full of energy!

There are even private rooms for your to reserve. This is perfect for family get togethers or even birthday celebrations.
Which leads me to my next important point when sharing my experience at Vikings!
