We love date nights. Date nights before kids? SOOO much different than date nights now. Case in point. Date nights before kids were usually just the two of us, in a two seater, with the top down, music blaring, indulging in champagne and expensive food. We would dress up, find a spot we loved, maybe meet up with friends, but staying out until the wee hours of the night was par for the course. Date night now? I still like to look put together, (although my idea of dressing up has shifted a little) we are driving an SUV (with a car seat in the back) instead of a two seater, we keep the music turned down low so we can have a conversation (and we aren’t interrupted by little voices) and while we do like to indulge every now and then, we also enjoy the value of a good meal that doesn’t break the bank.

Nino enjoys the time out with the guys just as much as I enjoy the time with the girls 🙂 LOOK at that view!
Plus, we also look forward to the conversations with friends and people who are in the same stage of life that we are…married with kids isn’t easy and as many of us know it’s important to blow off some steam!

Couples time is always important, no matter how long you are together. Even Nino is loving the time we spend with Jane of Sugar and Spice and Pat of Mrs. P. Cuyugan.
So that’s why when Jane asked us if we would like to have a drink (or two) upstairs at The Vue Bar after our dinner at Cafe D’Asie, we happily agreed. Taking time off with the hubby to enjoy good music and friends is a treat. It should happen more often, but of course as we all know life gets a hold sometimes and we can forget that parents are supposed to have a good time too!
I enjoy going to Vue Bar because the live music is fun, the food is good, and the crowd is appropriate for my age. Many of the Manila hot spots are really for the young, and young at heart. While I enjoy going out…I also enjoy the ambiance of certain places over others.
At any rate Vue Bar offers a variety of different bands depending on the night. There is a minimum consumable charge and plenty of drink specials. In fact for the month of August every bottle of wine ordered comes with a cheese plate that is good for sharing.
The schedule of Bands is as follows:

Tuesday- THE BROTHERS (Retro)
Wednesday- MULATTO (70’s, 80’s, 90’s)
Thursday- HIGHWAY 54 (Variety)
Friday- SABOR LATINO (Pop, Latin)

Thank you for this, Michelle!! <3 Can't wait to spend more couples time with you & the ABC! :-* It's rare that the hubbys of girl friends get along so this is really a treat!! Plus, it's always a JOY to hang in The Bellevue Manila! 🙂
Oh Jane,
I’m enjoying all the time we spend together 🙂 I enjoy it even more when I know we don’t have to go to far, so Bellevue is perfect!
Great place to hang out for an evening!
Is it safe to walk around the hotel like going to church nearby , walk to places of interest?
Yes, Terri. Alabang is quite safe. Even at night.
