What is Pylones?
It’s a tower. It’s a flow of energy. It communicates across borders. It’s collaborative. It is optimistic. And in this case…It’s extremely colorful.

The Eiffel Tower is a great example of what a Pylone is. Eiffel Tower magnets, cheese graters and color changing mug-The mug changes color depending on the temperature of the liquid inside.
I have seen the Pylones store in SM Aura and wondered what kind of fun quirky things were inside. Unfortunately, until just recently, I did not have time to go in and explore their wares.

Happy Pack themes were Artsy, Boy Scout, Girly Girl, and Nerdy. After taking the survey, we figured out Gia’s pack was a tie for Artsy or Nerdy-and since I know she wants her own laptop, I opted for the Nerdy Happy Pack.
The SoMoms were invited to check out the new Pylones store which opened in Glorietta 5 to learn about their Back to School “HAPPY PACKS.” While we were waiting for the rest of our group to join us, we were free to explore the store and check out all of the colorful gift items that one can purchase. I found myself giggling while I was snapping pics with my iphone, because so many of the items in the store are things I would want for myself, simply because they make me happy!

How cute are these? As I explored the store I saw that I could piece together a grooming set made of a kitty and three women! Aren’t these so much fun! Clockwise: kitty nail brush, lady tweezers, lady nail clippers, and lady nail file.
This manicure set would be a perfect gift for someone who likes to have their nails done all the time.

This pen and sticky pad set was part of the Artistic Happy Pack. I love how the Happy Packs had themes! I think I want this one for my office.
Amadine Laloi, the Sales Export Manager for Pylones was in town to tell us a little bit about the company. After chatting with Amandine for some time, I learned that she was heading off to other Asian countries to check on their other stores. She travels quite a bit but truly enjoys the work that she does with Pylones. She was able to give us a brief history on Pylones that I found not only informative but fun.

Amandine shared that it takes a full 2 years from the idea of a product to the design and manufacturing of said product.
You can even see the history of Pylones scattered all through out the stores as they stand today. The big steel drums (Look at the Happy Pack pic up above.) that you see in almost every store (no matter the country) are the reminder of the company’s bracelet beginnings. Pylones started with the latex bracelets in 1985 and they were sold simply, on consignment.

Amandine shared with us that the first products of Pylones were latex bracelets. This was one of the cuter ones. It was a lizard. Thanks Mommy Fleur for modeling it!
As the company grew, so did their line of products. Maintaining their premise of providing “creative, optimistic, and graphic collections, Pylones designers have been inspired by the environment and the story of humanity, which ultimately creates the universal language of the objects.” Amandine also shared that the most popular items in the stores are usually based on animals or human shapes. She also shared the company philosophy that customers should leave their store with a positive shopping experience and a smile on their face.

I have grown very fond of owls since Evangelina was born. I love this feeding set, bib, and lunchbox! These would put a smile on my face…and Gelli’s 🙂
While many of Pylones products are made in China, it is the glass rings that are still manufactured in Paris. The cloud ring is definitely my favorite. Maybe I should go back for it for my own treat to myself for Mother’s Day!

I think I should go back for one of these rings. Thanks Neva and Tin for modeling how fun these are!
If you would like to visit any of the Pylones stores to find out which Happy Pack is the perfect fit for your Back to School Kid, you can take this test so you know which one to ask for.
Check out Pylones at these locations 🙂
